Low-spatter MIG models are mainly built for carbon steel and stainless steel. For aluminum, we usually recommend a pulsed MIG/MAG model or a spool-gun setup, depending on the workpiece, wire, thickness and production style.

Yes, selected Deyun pulsed MIG/MAG models and spool-gun models can be used for aluminum welding. Aluminum wire is soft, so the machine, torch, wire feeding path, liner, roller and gas setup matter. Please tell us the aluminum thickness, wire size and use case before selecting a model.

A spool-gun welding machine places a small wire spool close to the torch. This shortens the wire feeding path, which is especially useful for aluminum wire because aluminum is softer and easier to jam during long-distance feeding.
