Deyun does not build welding machines to look expensive. We build them to deliver practical performance at a price that makes sense for real workshops and distributors.
Founder / Company Identity
Mr. Zhao, CEO of Deyun.
The story on this page is anchored in a real office, a real founder, and a practical welding path built over years of product work.
01
Made in China, Built Through Work
Deyun grew out of the long working history of Made in China. For many Chinese factories, the first lessons came from making products for others and solving problems on the line, day after day. That history was plain, sometimes hard, and very useful. It taught people how machines are built, how costs are controlled, and how equipment has to keep working after it leaves the factory.
After 2010, more Chinese manufacturers began to ask for something different. They had made products for others for many years. Now they wanted to build equipment with their own judgment. For Deyun's founder, Mr. Zhao, that question eventually became a pulsed MIG/MAG welding machine.
02
The Imported Machine on the Table
At that time, many high-end pulsed MIG/MAG welding machines in China were imported. Some sold for RMB 80,000 to 100,000. Some reached around RMB 150,000. Mr. Zhao opened one of those machines and looked inside.
What he saw stayed with him. There were components and circuits, of course, but the real value was in the welding process and the experience behind it. The price also told another story: whoever owned the technology owned the right to price it.
Mr. Zhao wanted more factories to use good welding technology. A machine did not have to be perfect in every way before it could help an industry. If it brought a high-end process into more workshops at a price people could accept, it would raise the level of welding for many users at once.
03
Weekends in Zhuhai
He started inviting people to work on it. University researchers came. Engineers from welding companies came. His own team worked with them. Some people finished their regular week, came to Zhuhai on Friday night, and went back on Sunday night.
That rhythm lasted two to three years. Weekends became the time for the machine. No one could promise the result. The money might be spent and the machine might still fail. Mr. Zhao accepted that. Some work has to be paid for before it can prove itself.
04
The Booth in 2015
From 2012 to 2015, the team kept working on pulsed MIG/MAG welding. In 2015, the machine appeared at the Beijing Essen Welding & Cutting Fair. The booth was soon packed. People came to watch the weld, ask questions, and compare it with the machines they already knew.
Mr. Zhao still remembers the exhibition. On the first day, he could still speak normally. On the second day, his voice was tired. By the third day, he could barely speak. The same attention continued in the following years.
The weld did most of the talking. Deyun's pulsed MIG/MAG welding machine reached 0.45 mm aluminum welding, and later pushed the result to around 0.35 mm. When people had doubts, Mr. Zhao preferred a simple answer: put two machines together, weld the same material, and look at the result.

Recognized in Beijing
The attention in Beijing did not come only from customers. Domestic welding manufacturers and industry peers came to the booth as well. Many of them knew what it meant to make this kind of machine work at that price.
After the exhibition, the China Welding Association organized experts to evaluate the product. The machine was recognized as an advanced welding equipment achievement. The project later received special funding support of RMB 700,000.
Industry Relationships
A working history kept on the wall.
The photo wall records exhibitions, industry meetings, customer visits and people who helped shape the company's welding path over many years.

A New Chapter With RILAND
DEYUN is now a RILAND Group brand. RILAND Group is a publicly listed welding equipment manufacturer in China, listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange under stock code 300154.
RILAND Group had noticed Mr. Zhao's team as early as 2016. Years later, the two sides came together again. By then, Deyun's pulsed MIG/MAG welding machines had reached the fifth generation, and its low-spatter welding products had also become an important part of the business.
Mr. Zhao brought the product path he had built over many years. RILAND Group brought a larger industrial platform. This gave Deyun a new position in the market.

Deyun Today
Today, Deyun carries both parts of this story. It carries the weekends in Zhuhai, the crowded booth at Beijing Essen, the thin aluminum welds, and the years spent turning a difficult process into a usable machine. It also carries RILAND Group's platform and its history in Chinese welding equipment.
Deyun is built for customers who look at the weld first, then ask whether the machine can keep working and whether the cost makes sense. That was the question at the beginning. It is still the question today.
